The Abadi FLNG project is located in the Masela block of the Arafura Sea, Indonesia. INPEX Masela, a subsidiary of the Japanese-based oil and gas company INPEX, operates the field. The $19.6 billion project is INPEX Masela’s first experience as an operator.
Challenge
INPEX Masela was managing the first FLNG project in Indonesia, but they were struggling to mobilize workers with the necessary level of technical expertise. Expatriates and Indonesian nationals were scarce due to the highly technical skills required for the project.
Solution
Airswift-Aztechno created a dedicated team in Indonesia to support the project with the following global mobility services:
Global Immigration: Visa and work permit processing, sponsorship for all personnel
Relocation Services: Pre-employment medical checks, airport meet and greets, accommodation, local transportation, travel coordination
Global Employment Outsourcing: Local payroll processing for citizen employees, income taxes paid on behalf of expatriate personnel
Results
Airswift-Aztechno is still supporting INPEX Masela on the Abadi FLNG project, with dedicated teams in Indonesia who have a strong, professional relationship with a number of hiring managers.
